It is elitist if it is crazy about university rankings, “we are number so and so in Africa,” (holy dung!) while it has hardly changed the life of a man on the nearby shanty town ……It is entrepreneurial if it has the attitude that, “If I can change the life of the man on the street, who cares if I’m no 1 or 5000 in Africa?”9. It is elitist if it emphasizes too much on processes (accreditation, performance management, teaching methods, restructuring, transformation, you name them [N.B. there is nothing wrong with those things] …… it is entrepreneurial if it emphasizes more on vision and motivation of students and teachers, by recognizing their achievements and talents, no matter how little. 10. It is elitist if it is more worried about doing things right, ……it is entrepreneurial if it is more worried about doing the right things.
