Hosted by Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL), this masterclass will be the first-ever SEforALL Youth Summit. A virtual gathering organized by youth and for youth, the three-day Summit aims to empower young global leaders to support a just and inclusive energy transition in line with the Paris Agreement on climate change. The Summit includes various sessions on energy access, dialogues with key leaders, breakout sessions, interactive networking and virtual fairs showcasing different career and academic options in the sustainable energy sector. It will run from 9th to 11th February 2021.
Only 9 universities have been selected worldwide to make presentations in the Summit including the NUL Energy Research Centre (ERC). This should not come as a surprise that NUL Energy Research Centre is receiving global recognition. Not long ago, you’ll remember, this page reported that the ERC had won a massive grant from the UK government that is worth millions to pilot Solar PV mini-grids in the country (Project underway). We also reported that the ERC had received funding to revamp its young MSc programme to make sure it attains global standards (Applications for admission into the MSc in Sustainable Energy are open until 31st March 2021. In this Summit, the ERC will showcase its energy programmes and activities and explain why it is one of the best institutions to study energy matters. This will be an event that features academic and industry experts in the energy field and will discuss with participants, opportunities for scholarships and career opportunities. The NUL Energy Research Centre will man a booth, host one-to-one chat discussion and wrap the proceedings by giving a 30 min presentation.
