Three of our MSc in Sustainable Energy students have taken off to MCI – Management Center Innsbruck (The Entrepreneurial School) based in Austria. They are: Thatohatsi Raphoolo, Letsatsi Thakhisi and Thato Rateele. They are spending a whole semester doing courses at MCI which count towards their MSc degree at NUL. Thebe e sehelloa holima e ngoe, etsoe bohlale ha bo ahe ntlong ele ngoe!

The rationale behind the active participation of the Energy Research Centre in international exchanges is to give both the students and staff opportunities to: interact with global experts; gain confidence in studying and working with other nationals; build the necessary networks for consultancy and research projects considering that we live in an interdependent global small village. Other than the professional exposure, it is a revelation to live and work in a different culture. It really opens up the mind and doors to many potential opportunities.

“Classes are hectic at MCI, some days they end at 10pm,” says an overwhelmed Letsatsi.

“The learning environment is good, lecturers are friendly. There’s a lot of work and it’s very cold,” claims a shivering Thato.

We wish them well and have all the confidence that they will represent us well, ba be ba khutle ba re phuthelletse litsebo tse molemo!
